Hathersage Examples

here are a few examples showing block walls with concrete fill that we tanked and some examples of cladding concrete walls in stone,

Winslow New build construction, we excavated for the basements, having piled it. We then used the Fosroc tanking system for the under slab and for the walls which were 140 block with concrete core and rebar like the engineer has specified for your job at Broadview.

Strines, High Peak

Our family home where i grew up. We demolished the old extended house and excavated for basements, again we used the fosroc tanking system and installed a basement slab of 60m3. This was a very tricky pour as we have a low railway bridge so we had to have a pump at the bottom of the hillside pumping from the big trucks into a small truck which we had to cut the hopper off then we’ll back on afterwards to clear the bridge. We then had a trailer pump at the job to pump the concrete in.

Again 140 block with concrete fill and tanking system. Still holding up well 5 years on.

Ladybower, National Trust Tennant Farm

Retaining wall with stone cladding, the site was located up a 1.5 mile steep track off snake pass at 1200 ft above sea level, due to this getting concrete trucks in wall tricky so we opted for precast panels and took them up from the road with tractor and trailer then set 4m steels into the ground to retain them. We then clad the concrete in dry stone. 50m long by 2.6m high

New Mills, Derbyshire

Concrete reinforced retaining wall and paving and sun room,
