We found ourselves with another challenging job, on a dead end road at the top of the village of Bamford with no access for anything bigger than a pickup and trailer or reversing a 7.5 ton up and around a steep winding lane that killed the builders merchants clutch!
The job was to excavate and concrete a raft for a rear extension.
The risings from the excavation we had to cart in 3 ton dumpers 1.2 miles to a lay-by on the edge of the village to then have grab wagons collect them.
Concrete we could get slightly nearer only 0.8miles 11m3 carted in 1.5m3 at a time in our fleet of dumpers.
Our large fleet of kit means we can adapt and flex to solve problems, we’d assumed we’d get a 10 ton small grab in on this job but it couldn’t make the tight corner.
We specialise in getting footings in to damp where most general builders struggle with some hired in basic kit. Get the foundations set out, done correctly then let your builders do their thing.
